Shayna Boston is an educator, entrepreneur, servant leader, and community advocate committed to building stronger communities across Georgia’s Senate District 23.
Born and raised in Swainsboro, Shayna’s roots in Emanuel County run deep. She comes from a family that believed strongly in the power of education, service, and leadership. Her grandfather, Dessie D. Boston, made history as Emanuel County’s first African American Assistant Superintendent, setting an example of dedication to education and community that continues to inspire Shayna’s work today.
As an educator, Shayna sees firsthand the challenges facing students, teachers, and families throughout rural Georgia. She understands that strong schools are the foundation of thriving communities and believes educators deserve the resources, respect, and support necessary to prepare the next generation of leaders.
Shayna’s leadership extends far beyond the classroom. As an entrepreneur and community advocate, she has organized initiatives that support families, empower young people, and bring communities together. From mentoring students to launching programs that promote leadership and personal development, Shayna has consistently focused on creating opportunities that uplift others.
Her commitment to service is grounded in a simple belief: meaningful change happens when leaders stay connected to the people they serve.
Today, Shayna is running for Georgia State Senate to bring the voices of District 23 to the State Capitol and ensure that rural communities have strong representation under the Gold Dome.
