Why I'm Running

I’m running for Georgia State Senate because I believe the people of District 23 deserve leadership that truly understands our communities, our challenges, and our potential.

As someone who was born and raised in Swainsboro, my roots in this district run deep. I’ve lived the experiences that shape life in rural Georgia. As an educator, I see our teachers’ dedication and our students’ needs every day. As an entrepreneur and community advocate, I understand the resilience of small businesses and working families who are striving to build a better future.

But I also see the challenges our communities face — rising living costs, limited access to healthcare and mental health services, underfunded schools, and policies that too often overlook the realities of rural communities.

I’m running because our families deserve solutions that reflect the voices and needs of the people who live here.

I believe in strengthening public education and ensuring our teachers receive the pay and support they deserve. I believe in expanding access to affordable healthcare and mental health resources so families can receive care close to home. I believe in protecting working families from unfair corporate practices and supporting the small businesses that drive our local economies. And I believe in creating pathways to homeownership and economic opportunity that help families build generational wealth.

For me, public service has never been about titles or politics. It has always been about people — listening to their concerns, understanding their experiences, and working together to create meaningful change.

District 23 deserves leadership that is accessible, accountable, and deeply connected to the community.
